Executive Communication Coaching: Messaging that Convinces

You know exactly what your expertise is worth. Articulate it during moments that count.

Personalized executive communication coaching for leaders who meet in small rooms to deliver high-stakes messages. I’m Ron Ben-Joseph, a theater-trained executive communication coach. I work in one-on-one sessions with leaders across professional services in the United States.

30 minutes, free. You leave with your ten-second version.

What is executive communication coaching?

Executive communication coaching is one-on-one work on how a leader delivers a message when the stakes are high. It covers two things simultaneously: what you say, which is message architecture, and how you land it, which is executive presence training.

Unlike general public speaking training, it is built around high stakes business communications like board meetings, pitches, or interview prep. My work with professionals on stage presence and oral presentation skills can be found on my online public speaking coaching page.

The importance of executive presence training

The greater the expert you are, the bigger the challenge it becomes to explain your expertise. You see every exception and every nuance, so you hedge, you qualify, and you bury the point. What began as brilliance becomes a delivery of complicated explanations, and complication comes across as uncertainty.

The cost is not embarrassment. It’s the partnership that goes to the person who explained it faster, the budget that goes to the department that made its case in one line, and the referral that never gets made because nobody could understand what you meant.

If you want to see the full range of what I do beyond executive communication and presence training, start with my coaching and communication services.

What you’ll learn to do

Land your message

Establish, without claiming it, that you are the person in the room who knows what to do. Decision-makers form that judgment early.

Convey the hard messages cleanly

Deliver a complicated position, a bad number, or a real disagreement without hedging it into mush.

Become a quotable leader

Give the people in the room language they can repeat accurately when you are not there, which is where most decisions are indirectly made.

Ask for the decision

Close with a specific ask, so the meeting ends with a next step instead of a thank-you with ambiguity.

What clients say

"A masterful executive presence coach. RBJ can quickly help you find the words you were missing. I rambled for a while, and by the time I was done he had transformed my words into an efficient, elevated pitch. He helped me cut the unnecessary detail and focus on the message my audience was invested in hearing."

Shana Montrose, MPH, MBA, ICF-Certified Coach and Strategy consultant

"Ron is a master at the mechanics of presenting, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Everything he does is focused on getting to the core of who you are, as a person and as a professional. He invites you to see yourself from a different vantage point, and that emboldens you to step into your message with a confidence that is hard to shake."

How it works

Four sessions a month is a rehearsal cadence, not a course schedule. It means whatever is actually on your calendar gets worked on before it happens, rather than reviewed after it goes badly.

I take a limited number of one-on-one clients. If something is already on your calendar, the earlier we start, the more takes we can achieve in our sessions.

Questions clients ask

What does an executive communication coach cost?

Most engagements run four sessions a month. I will provide a personalized quote on our call. Coaching is priced by the month rather than by the hour, because our work is cumulative.

No. I will never show you how to speak like anyone but you. The goal is not polish, it’s creating the version of you that people already trust in private. Our goal is to help you demonstrate that trusted person in the room where it counts. If a line does not sound like something you would say, it gets removed.

Most clients hear the change in their first session, because we work on something real you have coming up rather than on hypothetical exercises.

Four hours a month with me, plus whatever you were already going to spend preparing. For most clients it replaces preparation time rather than adding to it, because we work on the real thing instead of you rehearsing alone the night before.

Usually because the last one gave you a framework. Frameworks work in the room where you learned them and fall apart under pressure. This is rehearsal, out loud, on your actual material, until the words are in your mouth rather than on a page.

Yes. You will be bringing partner conflicts, board politics, and numbers you would not say out loud elsewhere. None of it leaves the session, and nothing you say gets used as an example without you offering it first.

Spend thirty minutes, free, in a working session. You leave with your ten-second version drafted and said out loud, whether or not we ever work together after that.
